Not exactly the same. Gene was able to use existing boardsets and other gear
already on pallets. WayNo is having to build a whole new boardset. Gene
owned all aspects of the game he was making. MM ownership is split between
Gene and WayNo. Gene built/is building on-site, WayNo is outsourcing to
China. MM remake is very different from BBB.
However, many people said Gene would never finish BBB, which he has finished
some, and I think the expectancy to finish them all is pretty high these
days. But still miles behind schedule. If Gene had to surmount the obstacles
that present themselves to WayNo, I don't think any BBB repros would have
made it to Europe (which is another thing for WayNo to get around if he
wants to sell any units in Europe). Lots of things for WayNo to overcome to
make it happen. Maybe he will, but I forsee a LONG wait...much longer than
BBB. And when it's finished, what will a Chinese build-quality game
look/play like (not that I care, I'm not in the game)? If this agreement is
open-ended, WayNo can keep your money until he dies, or you do. I hope for
the best for all investors, but expect the worst based on WayNo's posts to
this group.
